NARROW LIPS

When a person has small or thin lips, the appearance can be perceived as unbalanced or not in line with the whole facial appearance. With ageing the lips tend to flatten and lengthen, losing the youthful appearance and are often accompanied by wrinkles and sagging of the soft tissue around the mouth.

Many people worry about having exaggerated pout or “duck lips” and at Infinity Aesthetics, we know it is essential to have a balanced and natural appearance. Dr Thomas uses the Phi golden ratio, which determines the proportion of the upper and lower lip, depending on ethnicity.

Treatment of lips can involve injecting softer dermal fillers into the body of the lips together with enhancement of definition of the border and “Cupid’s bow” (of the V-shaped appearance at the top of the lips). This is performed with local anaesthetic to reduce any discomfort felt and in most cases the procedure is done with a cannula to provide the most natural-looking lips.
